The Ferrari F60 is a Formula One motor racing car used by Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro in the 2009 Formula One season. The car was named F60 in honor of the Ferrari’s 60th year in Formula One (2009).
The F60’s first full test was performed at the Mugello Circuit on January 19th, 2009.
Exterior of Ferrari F60 America
The F60’s exterior design was inspired by the North American Racing Team uniformed look. The bodywork is adorned with the Prancing Horse badge applied to fenders and the center tunnel in the cabin. The front part of the vehicle is equipped with the classic Ferrari front grille with chrome finish and integrated air intakes for the brakes. The side mirrors are located at the edge of the car’s floor. The rear diffuser was redesigned to meet the regulations according to which it has to produce less downforce.
Ferrari placed limits on the wheelbase, by making it shorter, simpler front splitter, much narrower rear spoiler and underside air flows, thus making it less disruptive to the car behind. The one-layered front splitter is now placed further away from the front wheel. Allegedly, this improves air flow to the wheels.
The 2015 Ferrari F60 America has no roof, for a more effective display of a pair of leather-trimmed roll hoops flowing into carbon-fiber-trimmed flying buttresses.
The body is dominated by blue and enriched with a center white stripe.
