The 2016 Ford Everest is a 7-passenger SUV, inspired by the Ford Ranger model. According to the manufacturer, it’s the most capable, fuel efficient and safest SUV.
The 2016 Ford Everest has a boxy design, however it is said to have the best drag coefficient of 0,389, which is due to the underbody shield which directs and helps air pass under the vehicle.
The well-known inverted trapezoidal grille is retained, and the integrated LED headlights with LED daytime running lights have been added to it. Fog lights have been installed into the front bumper, positively influencing the look and attitude of the entire vehicle. The rear is square-shaped with angular LED tail lamps.
The torsional strength is said to resist the most demanding terrains. The vehicle comes with the advanced Terrain Management System which offers 4 different settings – normal, snow/gravel/grass, sand and rock.
The TM System is accompanied by a 4-wheel drive system, an active transfer case with Torque on Demand and water-wading capability of 31”.
The 2016 Ford Everest interior design sticks to the traditional horizontal lines, influencing the dashboard and instrument panel.
The new interior offers much more comfort and space, but also some handy and convenient stuff. It comes with an 8-way adjustable powered and heated front seats, 8” touchscreen, multi-functional 4-spoke steering wheel, SYNC 2 infotainment system with voice command system, climate control functions, satellite navigation, Bluetooth phone connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspot technology.
As for the safety part, it offers some Driver-Assist features such as Curve Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Aid, and Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert.
Some other advanced functions are also available: Forward Alert with Collision Mitigation, Roll Stability Control as well as the Active Park Assist.
