2017 Infiniti QX80

Nissan is set to release an upgraded model of their luxury SUV for the 2017 model year. Last upgraded in 2012, the Infiniti QX80 had started to look a bit rusty. The model which used to go by the name QX56 will offer customers a good mix of all things they look for in a SUV.

The previous model was quite impressive in the market and the automaker expects the new model to reach and exceed the previous model’s success.

Engine Specs and Performance

Under the hood, the 2017 Infiniti QX80 will feature a powerful engine. The SUV will be powered by a 5.6 L, V8 engine capable of producing 400 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission system that sends power to all wheels.

The engine has an estimated fuel economy of 14 mpg in city and 21 mpg on highway drives. The engine propels the SUV to make the 0-60 mph run in 7 seconds which is not bad for a car its size. A well equipped model will be capable of towing around 9,000 lbs.
