In the words of the producer, the 2015 Jeep Renegade is equipped for excitement! It will be available in 4 versions: Sport, Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk.
The 2015 Jeep Renegade will be available in ten exterior colors, similar to Wrangler’s.
The newest Jeep has the black grille and trim, rectangular taillights with inset Xs. It’s pretty big and wide in comparison to other vehicles in the same class. The lucky ones who got the chance to see it live say that it’s even larger than it looks in the pictures.
As for the chassis, this is the first 4-wheel-drive variant of Fiat Chrysler’s platform readjusted to provide the Renegade with real off-road capabilities. Jeep has achieved trimmed mass through the use of an aluminum hood and high-strength steel for 70% of the unibody.
The cabin of the 2015 Jeep Renegade is more spacious than expected.
Jeep designers have taken care that the trim pieces resemble the exterior. The vehicle’s trademark is an optional pair of removable roof panels, available in manual or power tilt-and-slide configurations.
The cabin has a height-adjustable driver seat and a back seat wide enough to fit even three adults. The seats are wrapped in cloth.
When it comes to the power features, some of them are remote keyless power door locks with panic alarm and 2 one-touch power windows. Instrumentation part includes a clock, a tachometer, a trip computer and an external temperature display.
The vehicle also has electric power tilt and telescopic steering wheel accompanied by audio controls.
In-car infotainment includes 4 total speakers, AM/FM stereo, auxiliary audio input and USB connection.
Engine and performance
Under the hood of the base model is a turbocharged 4-cylinder 1.4-liter engine which produces 160 hp and 184 pound-feet of torque, available exclusively with a 6-speed manual.
There is also an optional 2.4 rated at 184 hp and 177 pound-feet which comes with a 9-speed automatic.
4-wheel drive available on every Renegade configuration, makes it the only B-segment crossover (apart from the Countryman) to provide the feature with a manual transmission.
Fuel consumption for a stronger engine with 4×4, goes from 22 mpg for city driving up to 31 mpg on the highway, the average consumption is about 25 mpg. Of course, the average fuel consumption much depends on driving style.
According to the circulating speculations and the unofficial Motor Trend test, the 2015 Jeep Renegade will be capable of developing acceleration 0-60 mph(0-100 km/h) in 8.0-8.6 seconds.
