Pagani Zonda Review, Top Speed

The way Pagani Zonda has been combining exclusivity and high speed for years, could be considered a kind of art.

Pagani Zonda is a sports car produced by an Italian manufacturer Pagani. The first car was released in 1999, and although Zonda has been replaced by the Huayra, and officially out of production since 2011, Pagani is finding it hard to say goodbye, so they presented Zonda 760 RSJX near the end of 2014. However, that still wasn’t the final Zonda. ZoZo Zonda is the latest version, which appeared this year and was built for Japan ’s youngest billionaire, Yusaku Maezawa. This Zonda is pretty reminiscent of the 760 LH in specifications (which was also a special edition made for Lewis Hamilton).

Some of the earliest Zonda engineering work was done by Juan Manuel Fangio, Formula One champion.

Pagani Zonda is produced in small batches and only few lucky ones had the opportunity to buy it. Start of production is marked 1999 C12 model, after him came 2002 Zonda S, 2003 Roadster and GR, 2005 Zonda F (2006 F Roadster), 2009 Cinque (later roadster and tricolore version), 2009 Pagani Zonda R and at the end 2013 Pagani Zonda Revolucion.

1999 Zonda C12

It was powered by a 6.0-liter Mercedes Benz V12 engine delivering 389 hp and 420 pound-feet of torque. the engine was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. It could develop acceleration of 0-60 mph in 3.7 sec. Only five units of the original model were built. Price used C12 is around 300,000 US dollars.

As for the interior, it has leather-covered racing seats from Toora, 4-points seatbelts and steel roll-bars. Acceleration 0-60 mph is reached in 3.3 sec, also reaches the price of $ 1,500,000.

2005 Zonda F

Zonda F (F stands for Fangio) was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show. It manifests the most extensive re-engineering of Zonda yet. It uses the 7.3-liter AMG V12 engine which delivers 594 hp and 560 pound-feet of torque.

It was equipped with an extra headlamp and different foglamps at the sides, new bodywork enhanced to improve aerodynamics, and different side mirrors. Optional carbon-ceramic brakes were developed in conjunction with Brembo. The F received alloy wheels, Inconel exhaust system, hydroformed aluminum intake plenum and a redesigned weave in the crash structure in order to reduce weight and improve rigidity. Maximum speed is slightly greater than 210 mph and accelerates 0-60 in 3.6 sec. Price of this model varies a lot, but when he showed it cost about $ 2,000,000.

Only 25 units of Zonda Fangio were released.

2009 Zonda R

The R model made its debut at the Geneva motor Show in 2007. It uses the 6.0-liter V12 M120 engine taken from the race version of the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR.

The production of the Rs was limited to 15. Accelerates 0-60 mph in 2.7 sec, and a top speed of 217 mph. His successor from 2013 Zonda Revolucion has better acceleration 0-60 mph for 0.1 sec. Price Zonda R is 2,000,000 dollars and reaches a staggering 4.5 million for Zonda Revolucion.
