The 2015 Porsche Macan is a five-passenger compact crossover SUV available in base S and higher-performance Turbo trim levels. The name Macan comes from an Indonesian word for “a tiger”.
The look of the Porsche Macan 2015 is achieved by combining some elements of 911 line up with 918 Spyder super car.
The sides of the standard and the Euro-spec diesel models are painted Lava Black, whereas the Turbo version has its sides painted same as the rest of the exterior. All three models are also offered in Genuine Carbon. The features introduced for the first time are the long black roof spoiler and continuous side sills, giving the vehicle a flowing design. The rear diffuser is flanked on the sides by double tailpipes.
As for the lighting, the taillights are inspired by the 918 Spyder taillights. The Turbo comes with the LED fog lights.
The Turbo also offers adaptive suspension dampers, unique 19” wheels and unique front and rear fascias.
There are certain features of the Turbo which are optional on the standard model: 20” or 21” wheels, summer performance tires, variable torque vectoring for the rear wheels, an adaptive air suspension, body side skirts, skid plates, a panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors, auto-dimming mirrors, as well as keyless ignition and entry.
The interior design is inspired by the earlier well-crafted Porsche cabins. There are triple dials for instruments, a flat dashboard and a center console with many buttons, but it’s very user-friendly so it’s not difficult to adjust to it.
The interior equipment of the 2015 Porsche Macan contains cruise control, dual-zone climate control, full power accessories, 8-way power front seats with memory settings, 40/20/40-split-folding rear seats leather-suede upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity, a 7-inch touchscreen and an 11-spekaer audio system with CD player and an iPod/USB audio interface.
The Turbo interior includes full leather upholstery, aluminum accents, Alcantara headliner, 18-way power front sport seats with memory settings, heated front seats, a 14-speaker Bose surround system and a navigation system.
