Just a year after launching the 2015 Chevrolet Trax, Chevy is set to release another new version of the Trax for the 2016 model year. The vehicle which is built on the same Gamma platform will be offered in new color choices and updated equipment.

Absence of the roof rails gives the vehicle a clean appearance. However, higher trims feature roof rails as standard. Further, the base model also features body color license plate housing, mirrors and other trim pieces which underscore the budget nature of the small car.
Other features on the base model are automatic on/off halogen headlights (higher trims feature LED headlights and taillights) and intermittent rear-window wiper. It also comes with a spare tire. The LT and LTZ feature heated exterior mirrors. The LS will rides on 16-inch steel wheels with silver plastic wheel covers while the LT features 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear seat has 60/40 split-fold capability and the front passenger seat can also be folded flat. All seats feature carpeted floor mats as standard. MyLink connectivity along with a 7-inch touch-screen, Gen 10 OnStar with 4G LTE and Wi-Fi hotspot are also offered as standard.

Front-wheel-drive comes as standard in all models but all trim levels have an option for the all-wheel-drive mode at an extra cost. Credit must go to the Chevy engineers who have managed to produce maximum torque from this engine at only 1,850 rpm.
