New Skoda Octavia RS is a brand new model which scores points with a racy design, sporty interior, latest technology and impressive power output. 2016 Skoda Octavia RS is effectively the Czech brand’s version of the Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance.
The Octavia RS 2016 has a distinguishable black painted grille surround, mirror caps, roof and rear spoiler, and its authentic black-and-silver painted alloy wheels.
The car will receive the new LED lights of xenon headlight clusters. Thus, the vehicle will look more aggressive and appealing. 2016 Skoda Octavia RS will not be redesigning the rear part. However, the bumper is refreshed and it looks great. The manufacturer will be bringing a fantastic overall look of the car before releasing it for sale.
New Octavia RS offers customers three new colour options; a brand new metallic Steel Grey, Rallye Green and non-metallic Sprint Yellow. In addition, RS customers can also choose between metallic, pearl-effect Black Magic, Race Blue, Brilliant Silver and Platin Grey. Non-metallic options include Candy White or Corrida Red.
2016 Skoda Octavia RS Wagon
Skoda Octavia RS will also produce in the wagon version, Octavia wagon is particularly popular in the European market. Engines will run RS wagon will not vary from Octavia sedan, and neither length of the vehicle, which in both cases is 4,685 mm. The only difference is the volume of the luggage which is 610 liters for estate (590 l at sedan version).

Interior-wise, Skoda Octavia RS hasn’t undergone that many major changes – it gained some chromium linings and upholstery has been improved. The cabin also received a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Skoda still remains quiet about the inside look of the vehicle, so these perhaps aren’t only changes.
2016 Skoda Octavia RS Engine and Specs
Under the hood, 2016 Skoda Octavia RS will have a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder TSI engine putting out up to 169 kW (227 hp), with a torque of 350 Nm and a 2.0-liter TDI engine delivering 184 hp.
There is an electronically controlled locking front differential which, according to the manufacturer, enhances the car’s dynamic cornering ability.
The engine will be paired up with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed dual-clutch ‘DSG’ automatic transmissions which will certainly be available overseas, although it still isn’t clear if they will be available locally at this point. The GTI Performance is available only with the DSG.
The Octavia RS will be able to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 6.7 seconds and top speed of 248 km/h (155 mph).
The system sends power to the outside wheel in corners, working together with the XDL system as it brakes the inside wheel – in order to reduce understeer and get a quicker exit from corners.
Price and release date
In order to make better manage supply and demand, Skoda has expanded Octavia RS production in the Czech Republic to 700 units per week.
The manufacturer should release the new Octavia RS special in June 2015.
According to Skoda’s official website, the drive-away pricing of 2016 Skoda Octavia will be ranging from $40,590 to $43,990.
