The light-duty crew cab market segment has experienced a tremendous growth over the recent years. The 2017 GMC Sierra Denali has been one of the models driving the market growth.
The Denali trim was first introduced to the Sierra lineup in 2002 and currently over 20% of Sierra truck sales are Denali. This year through October, the Denali has managed to sell over 180,000 units representing an 8.65 growth. In a bid to improve its market performance even further, GMC has enhanced the new Denali package with precision craftsmanship that elevates its capability, design and comfort to new heights.
The Denali gives more emphasis to the interior offering bold, refined and advanced features that make the Denali nametag synonymous with precision and exclusivity.

The 2017 GMC Sierra Denali will be available only on 4WD crew cabs with a 6-foot, 6-inch bed or the smaller 5-foot, 8 inch bed. At the front, the Sierra gets a redesign which features a new Denali grille with the red GMC lettering at the center. The grille is flanked by LED headlights.
At the rear, the Denali features LED taillights and a stainless steel exhaust pipe with chrome exhaust tip. The Denali also features body-colored front and rear bumpers, a spray-on bed-liner, chrome tow hooks, redesigned chrome mirrors to improve aerodynamics and a tri-mode power step to help getting onto the cargo bed. The Denali rides on ultra bright 20-inch bright aluminum wheels.
2017 GMC Sierra Denali Interior
The cabin is precisely styled to offer outstanding experience. The cabin sports soft-touch materials with doses of carbon and leather trims. The seats are upholstered in perforated nuance leather. The front seats are heated, ventilated and are 12-way power adjustable.
The steering wheel is also heated and wrapped in leather. Generally, the interior is comfortable and quiet. The quietness is as a result of installation of triple door seals that block noise from the outside, aerodynamic exterior mirrors that reduce wind noise and a valved exhaust system that reduces engine noise.
The cabin also features a 7-speaker Bose sound system, a color touch-screen and technology features such as Smartphone integration, Pandora internet radio and Bluetooth connectivity among others.
Powering the 2017 GMC Sierra Denali is a 6.2 L Ecotec3, V8 engine that is capable of producing 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine places the Denali at the top as the most powerful truck in this segment. GMC uses Active Fuel Management, Variable Valve Timing and Direct Injection technologies to make the engine economical as well as increase its performance.
The engine is mated to a Hydra-Matic , 8 speed automatic transmission system. Power is channeled to all wheels.
Price and release date
GMC has not announced the price or release date of the 2017 GMC Sierra Denali. The model will have a starting price of around $ 55,000 so as to competitively compete with its rivals which have starting prices of around $ 50,000. GMC spokesperson Kelly Wysocki said the official Sierra Denali prices will be announced closer to the models launch in the first half of 2016.
The premium truck market is growing and GMC will face competition mostly from two players. The first competing model is the F-150 Limited which features chrome trims as well as leather upholstery and a host of luxurious features.
